Sharing with my Roommate

I just explained my eating disorder, in detail, to my roommate. He is the first non-ED person (either patient or clinician) that I have ever gone into that much depth with about what is going on in my head when my disorder is active. He really seemed to get it and, I think, now has a better understanding of eating disorders, in general, and me, in particular.

As per the disordered voice in my head, I haven’t eaten anything today. I weighed myself this evening (actually, at my roommate’s request). I was 166.6… 5 pounds lighter than this morning’s weigh-in. We will see what tomorrow morning brings. One more cigarette and then off to bed…
